Standard API Functions

Detailed Description

This group contains functions of the GLG Standard API.

These functions are used to:

• load and display a GLG drawing
• access resources of the drawing
• animate the drawing with live data
• handle user interaction (selecting objects with the mouse, pressing buttons, etc.).

Specialized Chart functions, as well as a variety of utility functions, are also provided.

Modules
	Load, Setup and Display
	This group contains functions used to load, set up and display a GLG drawing.
	Resource Access
	This group contains functions for getting and setting resource values, as well as checking if a named resource exits.
	Tag Access
	This group contains functions for getting and setting data tag values, querying a list of all data tags present in the drawing, as well as exporting and importing data tags.
	User Interaction and Selection
	This group contains functions for handling object selection and other user interaction with the GLG drawing.
	Zooming and Scrolling
	This group contains functions for zooming, panning and scrolling GLG drawings, charts and GIS map objects.
	Chart Functions
	This group lists Chart functions of the Standard API.
	GIS Functions
	This group contains functions that may be used for handling coordinate conversions and GIS queries when a GLG GIS Object is used to display a map inside the GLG drawing.
	Printing and Image Generation
	This group contains functions used for printing, generating PostScript output and saving images.
	Internationalization and Localization
	This group contains functions for setting locate as well as localizing GLG drawings by translating text strings to different languages.
	Object Referencing
	Memory and String Handling
	This group contains memory allocation functions as well as string utility functions.
	Fast Access
	These functions may be used to query the Name, Type and DataType resources of an object.
	Error Handling
	This group contains functions for custom error handling.
	Alarm Handling
	Windows-Specific Functions
	This group contains functions that are available only on Windows.
	Utility Functions
	This group contains miscellaneous utility functions.
	Simple Array Functions
	This group contains Simple Array functions that allow to use a dynamic array functionality without the Intermediate and Extended APIs.
	Editing Mode Functions
	This group contains supporting functions for the drawing editing functionality.
